Last month I reconnected with a cousin who I hadn't seen in 60 years. We both felt like we were long lost sisters. It was wonderful to see her and meet her husband and sons and grandchildren. One of her sons is a musician and that afternoon he played a beautiful song on a bamboo flute that he had made while living in Hawaii. I fell in love with his flute music and asked if he would be open to including one of his Native American flute pieces as a part of one of my meditation readings. He was happy to do so! So, I introduce to you Caley Mark Terril. Here is a little bit about him: "Multi-instrumentalist, Shakuhachi flutemaker and recording artist Caley Mark Terrill explores the nature of the soul through a unique style summoning a need to look closer and delve deeper, fortunately with a little slice of shamanic aid."
So we combined his piece "All That is Ancient and Only Dimly Known" and a meditative reading "Great Spirit Invocation" and here is our finished offering. Caley recorded the background ocean sounds at the beach in Maui.
I am grateful for this delightful gift of family connection, and beautiful collaboration!" May this reading and music bless you today with peace.
